May 2016 Whimsy Stamps News and Inspiration Day 1

Hello! It's that time again....hooray!! Time for the new release at Whimsy Stamps, make sure to go to the Whimsy Blog and learn how to win. 

Today I want to share a card I made using the new stamp set from Krista Heij-Barber 'Ice Cream Truck'. OMGoodness this set is sooo darn adorable.

I made a shaker card cutting a heart window with the 'Stitched Heart' dies.  Colored it with my Copics.  I stamped and fussy cut the sentiment that comes with the set so it is dimensional. I stamped the music notes on the inside of the card. 

This card was so much fun to make!!!

Mason jar gift tags.... Baked with Love!!

Hello. Happy Mother's Day!! Hope you are enjoying your day!

Today I want to share some tags I made with the Whimsy Stamps set by Krista Heij-Barber 'Baked with Love'.  I love this set it is so versatile. 

I wanted to make some tags to put on a mason jar for some gifts.  

I colored them with Copic Markers. I used the Clearly Whimsy 'Everyday Mini Sentiments'

This would be great to put the dry ingredients for a chocolate chip recipe. 

This would be great for some dry ingredients for a soup recipe or granola. 

I used a mason jar stamp from my stash and fussy cut it out.

Whimsy Stamps April 2016 Release News and Inspiration Day 3

Hello!! So glad you have stopped by!! Hope you are enjoying the new releases from Whimsy. 

Today I want to share a treat box I made using the new set from Krista Heij-Barber 'Baked with Love'

I made the box using the 'Envelope punch board', before I put it together I stamped some of the images on it and colored them. I also used the Clearly Whimsy 'Distressed Background and Ink Splats' to put some splats on it. They are hard to see. 

You can see some in this picture. This is the back of the box. 

I colored her with my Copics. The sentiment comes with the set, I just colored it and added some Stickles.

W00, W1, W3

N0, N1, N3, N4

RV10, RV02, RV13, V22

YG11, YG06, YG09

I used the 'Stitched Tag Die' too.

Look Whoo's having a Birthday!!!!

Hello!! Hope you are doing well this fine Spring morning!! Starting to venture out of my long sleeves, it's kind of nice!! 

So have you checked out the new Whimsy Stamps e-magazine yet??? It is so packed with awesome inspiration and tutorials.  Today I want to share one of the cards I made for it. The stamp is by Krista Heij-Barber 'Look Whoo'.  

I did some no-line coloring with my Copic Markers. The body come out so cute. The sentiment comes with the stamp. I also used the 'Double Scallop Doily die'.  I used Memento 'Desert Sand' to stamp the image.

Whimsy Stamps New Release Day 3

Hello! It's the last day of the Release for Whimsy. So many cute stamps and inspiration from all the DT members!! Make sure to check out the Whimsy Blog for all the details and how to enter to win some goodies.

Today I used the new stamp from Krista Heij-Barber 'Spring Chick'

I colored this cutie with Inktense Pencils. 

I cut the tag with Whimsy 'Stitched tag die'

For the treat bag I used the Tim Holtz 'In the Bag' die. I used it to cut some wax paper. Filled it with some goodies.....some may have missed the bag....:)

'Friend'

Hello everyone! Hope your Saturday is going well. It is really warm here which I am very thankful for. 

Today I want to share a card I made for Whimsy Stamps.  I used an image from Krista Heij-Barber 'Friendship Bunny and Chick'.  

I colored these cuties with my Inktense pencils. 

The background was done with Prima oil pastels. I glittered up the heart and the Whimsy 'Friend' die

For the dotted border I used the Clearly Whimsy set 'Get in Line'

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everyone!! Hope you had a fun and safe New Year's Eve!! We stayed home and watched all the festivities on the Tube...lol!!!

Christmas gifts!!

Hello everyone!! Hope you are well with Christmas fast approching!! 

I want to share some Christmas gifts I have made this year for the teachers and some friends. I wanted something easy and fast!!

I made some pepperment bark(super easy) and filled these jars I bought at the Dollar General. Then I colored some great images from Krista Heij-Barber and put them on the top. Super simple and cute!!

I didn't come up with this idea. I got it from NurseTara04 on YouTube. I did change it by adding the colored images.

Whimsy New Release Final day

It was fun to do something other than a Christmas card. I colored this on watercolor paper with my Distress Markers.  The sentiment is from 'Everyday Moments'.

I colored this cutie with Prismacolor pencils on craft cardstock. I added a glitter background. I knew when I saw this stamp I wanted the sentiment to be "Shine Bright" Love this cutie!!

Gingerbread Love

Hello everyone!! Wow has this week gone by fast, so fast I didn't get my project up when I wanted to.....oops!! Getting older and 4 kids is making my brain forget things....:)

Anyway I want to share some tags I made using the new set from Krista Heij-Barber called "Gingerbread Love". This set is so darn cute!! 

I colored these cuties with my Prismacolor pencils. I am really enjoying them right now. I also used the new die "Large Merry die".  I cute it out on one tag then used it as a stencil to spray the other tag. I then glued the cut out back into the the negative, hope that makes sense. I had lots of fun with this stamp set. 

I made a gift box with the one to put some cookies in or some cookie mix with a cookie cutter attached. I didn't have any cookies in the house so I just made do with some yarn...:)

Whimsy Stamps.....bookmark!! Back to School

Hello everyone!! I have another bookmark to share with you. This one is for my 7yr old who is going into 2nd grade. I used the image from Krista Heij-Barber called "Make Your Mark".  

I also took a notebook from the Dollar Store and added some paper and acetate to the front. She loves notebooks to doodle in so I think she is going to be real excited. The image is colored with my Copic markers, used the sentiment that came with the stamp and added some Viva pearl pen.
